Minnesota Baseball Academy will be hosting their 4th Annual Winter Baseball Showcase January 16th 9am-4pm. Last year over 20 college coaches and several professional scouts (Twins, White Sox, Athletics, Rays, Orioles, Texas, Brewers) were in attendance and all eligible seniors signed to play college baseball last year. This year, over 50 colleges and all major league teams will be invited.
This is an invite-only showcase and players must apply with a scout referral to be accepted into this event. Once you have been selected to attend, players will be split into two groups and contacted via email/phone for their start time. It is recommended that you wear full uniform, hat and turf shoes and show up a half hour early to check in. Players will run through a MLB tryout including:
- 60 yard dash
- infield/outfield work
- catchers pop time
- batting practice
- live bullpens
