The deadline for signing up for the AFBL is August 17th, 2009. (Ages 9u-12u will play in MYAS Gopher State Fall Baseball League)

Format:

The Fall Blizzard season begins with tryouts in July (see Tryouts) with summer instructs starting in August every Tuesday and Thursday (11th-27th) at Rich Valley Sports Complex in Inver Grove Heights, MN. The official kick-off to the fall season starts with a baseball camp run by MBA and Steve Lombardozzi (87'; World Series Champion) (8/31-9/2). The Blizzard will break for Labor Day and start practice and double header games starting September 13th and play every Sunday through October 4th (8-10 games).

The season will end with a 3-day double-elimination AFBL (Advanced Fall Baseball League) Tournament (10/9-10/11) with seeding determined by each teams AFBL win/loss record.

Weekly updates including team records and standings, weekly stat leaders and schedules will be posted on our website at www.minnesotabaseballacademy.com.

How does my team or an individual enter the AFBL ?

Players and teams who aren't trying out for the Blizzard are encouraged to join the AFBL. This league is for teams and individuals who want the best baseball competition around. That's why we created it! If you aren't trying out for the Blizzard, you can be a part of the AFBL by signing up through MYAS.org. You can enter as an entire team, a group or individually. The deadline for signing up for the AFBL is August 17th. If you are a player who tried out for the Blizzard and did not make team, you may still sign up for the AFBL.

Ages 9u-12u will play in the MYAS Gopher State Fall Baseball League which plays double headers every Sunday throughout the month of September and early October. The 9u-12u Blizzard teams will enjoy all the benefits that the AFBL members do and the only difference will be MYAS will be responsible for all the scheduling and record keeping.
